I’m Abdulatif, a software engineer. I start with what people need to accomplish, then work across the interface, backend, and infrastructure to build solutions that make it possible. I’m now extending that approach into AI engineering, integrating AI into software and building agents whose outputs can be evaluated, improved, and trusted.

My journey

I started in the frontend, drawn to the craft of interfaces, then kept pulling the thread — APIs, databases, and the infrastructure underneath. Today I work across the stack, and I'm happiest when a project forces me to think about a system end to end.

From software to AI

I’m learning how to bring AI into the software I build. My focus is dependable agents: evaluations that expose failures, context that helps the model do the task, and harnesses that support the execution loop. Build, evaluate, improve, then evaluate again.

Build. Eval. Improve. Repeat.

The question I want to keep answering is: did this actually solve the task? I’m learning to turn that question into test cases, inspect where an agent fails, and improve its context, tools, or harness. Then I run the evaluation again. The goal is useful output I can trust across repeated runs.

Cloud & DevOps

I treat deployment as part of the product — Dockerized builds, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, reproducible environments, and edge-first hosting so the app is fast everywhere and cheap to run.

Security & scalability mindset

I design with security and scale in mind from the start: auth and session hardening, input validation, rate limiting, structured logging, and tracing — so problems are visible before they become incidents.

Seablue Innovators Website
A modern digital platform for Seablue Innovators, a Tanzanian social enterprise turning locally sourced seaweed into sustainable products while empowering coastal communities. I designed and developed the experience to combine product discovery, community storytelling, ocean conservation, coastal locations, and company content within a premium, responsive interface supported by a Administrator custom CMS that allows the Seablue team to manage their website independently.
